Webcam:<\/mark> <\/strong>The camera runs 24\/7 at the East Beach Isle of Berneray Outer Hebrides. The webcam is located at the most north eastern tip of Berneray and looks south towards Uist over the East Beach.The camera uses 4G technology so sometimes disconnects and reconnects, that along with frequent power cuts means the stream on YouTube has to be manually started at times. The camera is a 2k PTZ Hikvision camera, 4Mp sensor with x25 zoom, connected via POE Ethernet to a Raspberry Pi 4B running Restreamer. Power is supplied via an UPS in the event of power failure (which happens a lot). Using this setup we can send the stream to any platform or video service if required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Weather Station: <\/mark>The Weather station is an Ecowitt Wireless weather station, ECOWITT Weather Stations Array, 7 in 1 Wireless Weather Station with Outdoor Sensor WS69, with 3 in 1 WiFi\/Wired Hub Gateway GW2000. The data is show on this website in near real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n AIS Ship Tracking:<\/mark> We have a dual channel AIS receiver with folded dipole antenna connected to a Raspberry Pi 3B running AIS dispatcher. We share our data to a number of websites including ShipExplorer, ShipXplorer, and Marinetraffic. Due to the location of the antenna, coverage is generally to the East and South east of Berneray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n BirdAI: <\/mark>Our Bird Weather station consists of a Raspberry Pi 4b with SSD with a Microphone. This utilises AI to detect bird species and uploads the data to BirdWeather website. As the site is very exposed wind noise is a limiting factor in detecting birds, but we have undertaken several upgrades over the last 12 months to improve the microphone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Satellite Tracking: <\/mark>Satellite tracking is for Lora LEO satellites only, home made ground plane antenna and Heltec lora ESP <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sky Camera: <\/mark>The sky camera consists of Raspberry Pi 5 with M2 SSD and Pi HQ 12mp Camera with wide angled lens pointing vertically.
